Featured here is a bronze sculpture called “Mountain Lion” from artist Jack Putnam. The cougar sculpture features a wonderfully and professionally crafted bronze bust with a marble base and a hardwood lower base. This bronze features a lifelike appearance with great attention of detail to the face. This limited edition bronze is marked as follows: Jack D. Putnam – 2/25 – copyrighted 1985 (see attached photos). The plaque is marked as follows: Mountain Lion – Jack D. Putnam. The condition of this bronze sculpture is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition.
Jack Putnam is known for his art of western and wildlife images. He was born in 1925 and died in 2009. Many of his wildlife bronze works are of a smaller nature, but this one is a large sized piece that can be a focal point to appreciate in any collection.
